The OMG-VERSA-COMM4 four channel asynchronous serial communications card utilizes the RS-232 specification to provide RS-232 communication to your Windows or DOS applications. Selectable and sharable extended "AT" interrupts increase the versatility of this interface card. Signals are transmitted and received via 25-pin D-type connectors, which provide shielding from environmental noise.

The OMG-VERSA-COMM4 is a PC-Bus add-on card based on the 16550 FIFO buffered UART which is compatible with the standard 8250. Bit character lengths of 5, 6, 7 or 8, and odd, even or no parity are all available.

The OMG-VERSA-COMM4 includes a serial communications software driver that provides fully buffered interrupt driven input and output to multiple asynchronous serial communications ports. The driver provides the programmer with a robust and reliable means for servicing multiple serial ports while maintaining a straight forward and consistent software interface. The driver supports the following DOS languages, C, C++ and BASIC.
